About Sheldon Z. Kramer, Ph.D.

Sheldon Z Kramer, Ph.D. is a highly respected expert in the field of psychology of relationships and mind-body medicine. He is known for his practical, innovative, creative methods for personal and relationship transformation. Dr. Kramer is currently the Director of the Institute for Transformations, which perpetuates his powerful workshops and seminars on healthy mind-body relationships.

He is internationally known for his exciting, enthusiastic, humorous, and inspiring lectures on the spiritual dimension of human experience. He is a teacher for healthcare professionals, training them in effective, short-term, innovative techniques in individuals, couples, and family counseling. He is a regular workshop leader at a variety of professional conferences in psychology, family therapy, and medicine.

Dr. Kramer also specializes in creating methods, approaches, tools and systems to help businesses become more successful. He currently acts as an Executive Coach to a wide range of chief executives, entrepreneurs, and sales personnel.

Since 1984, Sheldon has been a news consultant on TV 8 and 10 in San Diego, where he discusses pertinent psychological issues in current events. He was heard regularly on talk radio as a regular guest on the renowned Bill Ballance Talk Show on KFMB-760 AM in San Diego, where he produced his own relevant, provocative topics on a wide range of subjects in psychology, relationships, and self-growth.

Sheldon has been a frequent contributor to national news publications and magazines including San Diego Union Tribune, Star News, and Mira Mesa News in San Diego, as well as USA Today, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Brides Magazine. Sheldon is the author of Hidden Faces of the Soul: Ten Secrets for Mind/Body Healing from Kabbalah's Lost Tree of Life, which is written for the general public. This special book shows the reader how to bring balance, health, and success in everyday life using the ancient mystical teachings of the creation myth found in the Genesis story of the Old Testament. His other book, Transforming the Inner and Outer Family, mainly written for health professionals, is a new, powerful approach on how to bring the sacred dimension of human experience into challenges of intimate relationships.

Dr. Kramer received his undergraduate degrees from Pennsylvania State University in Psychology and Religious Studies, Master's degree from Antioch University in Counseling Psychology, and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego.

Sheldon lives in southern California where he is in full time practice. He is also a musician and actively freelances as a drummer for a wide range of occasions.
